MiLatino uses a simple yet very effective marketing technique called viral marketing. Viral marketing is achieved in the following ways:

  • Upon pausing a MiLatino video, viewers will see the following links, Resume, E-mail This, or Get Link. The ‘Get Link’ functionality allows the user to get the actual hyperlink to the video in order to forward on to friends or co-workers. There is also a functionality that allows users to get the code to actually embed the pertinent video onto their website.

  • Another type of viral marketing will allow your ad to be seen by a bigger audience than you would normally get on MiLatino.com. We syndicate our Brightcove Console on other web sites that we believe are a good fit for our content. If your video ad is on the console when it is syndicated, your ad will be seen on other web sites.

MiLatino’s viewership includes a generation of Latinos which is difficult to reach, yet is one of the most sought-after demographics by corporations. This demographic of Latino professionals, between the ages of 18 and 34, is estimated to grow from 61% to 67% of the total US Latino population by the year 2010.

The Brightcove Console

 

MiLatino.com has acquired Brightcove.com’s cutting edge video player, which is extremely user-friendly technology. Viewers just click on a video, much as they would click a channel on a television remote, and the video begins to play. There is no need to have windows media, flash or any other media player. Viewers can choose from numerous episodes of shows that are currently playing on our channels. If a sponsor places a video at any point during the show, the viewer must watch the ad in order to watch the show.

We have channels to suit just about every taste and interest. There is always a variety of shows playing on each channel, and fresh episodes are uploaded to the sites on a regular basis. Additional shows and channels such as automotive and beauty/fashion channels, local Spanish language news, local city events/information, and local restaurant reviews are in development. Additionally, MiLatino viewers will be able to contribute their own video creations via an upload interface.
